Semarang Simpang Lima is a field that is in the center of Semarang. This field is also called the Field of Pancasila [1]. Intersection of five is a meeting of five roads converge, namely Jl. Heroes, Jl. Pandanaran, Jl. Ahmad Yani, Jl. A Jl Gajah Mada and Dahlan. All around stand-star hotels and shopping malls. Among Ciputra Hotel, Hotel Horison, Graha Santika Hotel, Mall Ciputra, E Plaza, Plaza Simpang Lima, Ramayana. This field is crowded center of Semarang residents every Saturday-Sunday. Especially on a Sunday morning this place is only for pedestrians and cyclists.

Simpang Lima serve as the central square is based on the proposed Semarang first President, Ir. Sukarno on the grounds center square which was originally located in the area have been converted to Kauman Shopping Center. Field development plans Pancasila time was chosen at the end of the Oei Tiong Ham (Jl Pahlawan). Pancasila field can then be awakened in 1969.

Currently Pancasila Field has become a landmark for the city of Semarang is an open space which is used by the people of Semarang to indulge. Semarang itself became synonymous with the Simpang Lima, because the activity center and the crowd is here.

Intersection field is usually on Sunday at padati by visitors who want to exercise, walks, and other activities.

Especially in times before the turn of the year, Semarang Simpang Lima became the center of the turn of the year celebration. Semarang Simpang Lima customarily held fireworks and concerts.
